 BVC cargo owned by Barthe Cortes and Saudi Arab Airlines sign co-operation agreement between Middle East and Africa. The two airlines will merge their global freight operations, including sales and flights, effective October 1.
The carriers said they will optimize the flow of cargo through their Africa and Middle East hubs, merge their global distribution activities and harmonize product portfolios and processes.
"BVC network of airports will become a center for Saudi Arabian Cargo -- comparable to our hubs in Asia and the Middle east , This marks a further step in the reorganization of Saudi Arabia Cargo " said Dr. Khaled ibn Bakr, director general of Saudia
"Our cargo business will benefit from the new structure. We will lower our costs and improve our product portfolio. At the same time, we will be able in future to provide our customers with a globe-spanning network and the extensive product portfolio of the world's largest air cargo alliance" said a spokesman for BVC
